What is on my desk?
Computer mouse: MX Vertical (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 79mm×120mm×78.5mm.
Not much to say. After trying out vertical mice at home, I wanted one with a rechargeable battery that I would not need to think about. The Logitech MX mice are some of the best I have ever used and the Vertical 🏛️ is no exception.
Computer keyboard: Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 457.2mm×20.3mm×172.7mm.
My first mechanical keyboard. Seemingly indestructable after many years. I like my blank keys and my Cherry MX Blue switches. Even if it means that other people cannot use it and find the rattling of my keys disturbing. The blank keys are a feature of the ultimate model 🏛️.
If I were to go out and buy a mechanical keyboard today, I would not recommend this one. Not because there is anything wrong with it, but because I think you can get way more for the price. This keyboard is neither hot swappable 🏛️, nor programable (QMK/VIA 🏛️).
Computer screen: LG 35″ UltraWide (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 831.6mm×573mm×250.9mm. (With stand.)
Also known as the 35″ Curved UltraWide QHD 1440P HDR Monitor with USB Type-C 🏛️. Such a snappy name. This is the same monitor we use in the office, and is why I have one at home. I have the white version 🏛️.
Desk pad: Blackstar Delta Extended mousepad (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 920mm×400mm×4mm.
Blackstar used to be the inhouse brand for Teknikmagasinet’s gaming peripherals. Winning a Red Dot Award for the series’ packaging 🏛️. There is a little history for you right there. It does not look like the brand exists anymore under Teknikmagasinet’s new ownership, and the only place that still sells this is the closeout online store Blandat.se: Blackstar Delta Extended musmatta 🏛️.
Clock: LCD Alarm Clock (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 119mm×7mm×49mm.
This was bought from Clas Ohlson with no real decernable brand on it. But a little bit of an internet search tells me it is the L8772 from Rising 🏛️. The original product page on clasohlson.com 🏛️ is no more, but there might be other importers. It served me well for many years, but something has grown unreliable and the times sometimes resets. That is why it lives on my desk and is no longer my alarm clock.
Desk fan: Mini Tower Fan (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 120mm×270mm×120mm.
Another Clas Ohlson purchase. This time the official product page 🏛️ is stil up so I have not (yet) crawled the internet to figure out which Chinese OEM this is.
Desk lamp: Nino Leuchten Daytona (🖼️)
W✕H✕D: 100mm×380mm×100mm.
Once again, no clue where or when this was picked up. It seems to be pretty German with even Lidl selling lights from Nino. The 2013 model I have has a more slimmed lampshade than most of the ones I can find online. (Example from home24. 🏛️) The photograph linked behind the name is from a Spanish Amazon listing 🏛️ that matched the product number on my lamp (50680101) and is a visual match for the lampshade.
